America the Beautiful

Here's my favorite part of that song. Wonder why no one ever sings it?

O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man's avail
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!

Oh, and don't forget to checkout this reflection about race and America: An Honest Conversation.

but why can't people like you ever realize all the good in America. Why can't you understand you are part of America?

in any case, post more of YOUR own comments in these blog entries (that is, your own work and not the poem and articles of others) and I'll respond with some more real and sincere comments. take care babe :)
