"diaspora" refers to people who used to belong to one area/one culture but are now scattered around the globe. So when it says Indian diaspora, it means people from India who are now live all over the world.

You may often hear the term diaspora in connection with Jewish people. That's because they were spread around all over the glob before many other people in the Western world. And they always thought of themselves as one group, even though they didn't live in close physical proximity.

Hope that helps!
